As an Asbestos Removal Operative / supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient removal of asbestos containing materials from various sites in the Manchester area. Working as part of a skilled team, you will follow established protocols and procedures to mitigate health risks associated with asbestos exposure.

Job Requirements

  • Safely remove asbestos-containing materials according to regulatory standards and company protocols.
  • Implement proper containment measures to prevent the spread of asbestos fibers during removal.
  • Operate specialized equipment and tools for asbestos abatement, including HEPA vacuums, negative air machines, and protective gear.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of removal activities, including waste disposal documentation and project reports.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to coordinate removal projects and address any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on industry best practices and safety standards.

 

Qualifications -

  • Valid asbestos removal certification
  • Previous experience in asbestos removal operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of asbestos regulations and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Physically fit and able to perform tasks in demanding environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
